LAWRENCE EARTH DAY PARADE & FESTIVAL

The Lawrence Earth Day Parade begins at the Train Park, and information is available from K.U. Environs at <LawrenceEarthParade@gmail.com>. The Earth Day Celebration is sponsored by the City of Lawrence Waste Reduction & Recycling Department – visit them at http://www.lawrenceks.org/wrr/earthday.
The celebration in the park features live music, children’s activities, and food vendors. Attendees are invited to learn from exhibits about waste reduction, recycling, composting, alternative fuels and vehicles, energy conservation, land preservation, wildlife and habitat preservation, and more. The Lawrence Transit System will offer free rides on the “T” all day Saturday, April 23.
