Transportation in the U.S. produces more climate emissions than does electricity generation. ICE (internal combustion engine) cars produce about 31% of climate emissions.
While EV cars have lower emissions, the prize goes to E-bicycles. Pedal bicycles are the most efficient land transportation, and when electrified, they are an order of magnitude better.

This is our 8th annual electric vehicle showcase. Our emphasis is E-bicycles and ICE-to-EV conversions. But we’ll once again have a strong showing of factory EVs, including a BEV bus, and a BHEV fire engine.
Displays will include local bicycle shops, solar companies featuring bi-directional charging, auto dealers, and a local ICE-to-EV conversion program. The University of Kansas Engineering School will display EV battery technology.
Sustainability Action Network welcomes our two co-sponsors this year: the City of Lawrence Sustainability Office and the City of Lawrence Transit System.
